La gala de los «MTV Video Music Awards», encargada de premiar a los mejores videos musicales del año, dio a conocer a los nominados de su próxima edición a celebrarse el 26 de agosto y que como novedad de este año contará con dos nuevas categorías, «Mejor Artista K-Pop» y «Video por una buena causa».

Ariana Grande y Taylor Swift apuntan alto con 10 nominaciones cada una, seguidas de Billie Eilish, intérprete del tema y fenómeno viral «Ocean Eyes», con 9 nominaciones.

También destaca la cantante española Rosalía, quien cuenta con tres candidaturas, incluyendo «Mejor Artista nuevo», donde compite con Billie Eilish.
