La ceremonia de la 74.ª entrega anual de los Emmy Awards 2022 se llevó a cabo la noche del lunes (12 de septiembre) con el actor y cómico Kenan Thompson como anfitrión.
En las categorías más esperadas de la premiación, Succession de HBO obtuvo el galardón a la mejor serie de drama, The White Lotus de HBO Max se llevó la mejor serie limitada y por segundo año consecutivo Ted Lasso de Apple TV+ ganó el premio a la mejor serie de comedia.
Por su parte, la estrella de la exitosa serie Squid Game, Lee Jung-jae, se convirtió en el primer actor asiático en ganar el premio al actor principal en una serie de drama, y la cuarta persona asiática en ganar un Emmy de actuación.

Mientras que Zendaya se convirtió en la primera mujer negra en ganar el premio a la actriz principal en una serie de drama, y la ganadora dos veces más joven de cualquier Emmy en la historia.
